This Smiling Mind meditation approach is based on the meditation instructions described by the Buddha in the earliest records of his talks —as compared to later commentaries on those talks.
If you are new to meditation or considering switching to this style, Smiling Mind is good in the beginning, good in the middle and good in the end!
If you are practicing this way already, This is an opportunity to join with like (smiling) minded meditators to share the sitting and experience.
In our weekly gatherings we will develop a better understanding of how the practice works. We'll discuss descriptions of insights that arise out of it, and ways to modify your meditation as it deepens. The intention of this gathering is to support each other in walking the Buddha’s path of kindness and wisdom.
